MISSION


E-Commerce Merchandiser reports to the E-commerce Director and is responsible for leading global ecommerce initiatives on the ecommerce team. 

The Merchandiser will lead in site merchandising across all ecommerce platforms including Amazon FBA, walmart.com, ebay.com, and new online retail roll-outs, customer service point person, and marketing. Additionally, this role will support website development or new website features as needed with regard to QA, analytics and user experience.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for implementing merchandising direction and placement of products featured on home, landing, and catalog pages; as well as categorizing products.

  • Create and post new products to all appropriate sales channels to increase sales.

  • Ensure that content is SEO-optimized and clearly messaged to improve customer satisfaction.

  • Continually seeks to improve the online experience by researching and staying abreast of new and innovative online solutions and capabilities, key competitor actions, industry trends and emerging customer and market needs.

  • Examines websites daily to ensure products are in the correct categories, promotions are functioning, links lead to the correct categories/pages and product set up is accurate. Tests new features and functionality as needed.

  • Maintain and manage site search, ensuring product names, keywords and attributes are searchable.

  • Execute traffic, conversion, sales, and sustainable growth strategies via site merchandising.

  • Establish and Execute Product Strategy: Understands the flow of new product within the organization and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to identify new procedures or efficiencies.

  • Supports the Ecommerce Team: support the ecommerce team to drive goals including executing plans that achieve sales and inventory goals, drive conversion rate and AOV, and provide a positive customer experience.

  • Merchandising Operating Procedure: Follows Merchandising operating procedures to maintain a high level of productivity with consistent high quality and work extensively with senior leaders and brand partners, to identify growth opportunities and implement plans.

  • E-commerce Subject Matter Expertise: Remain current with evolving E-commerce and technology trends, explore new and effective enhancements that will improve site experiences to lift user traffic, engagement, and conversion.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Business / Marketing / quantitative field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of marketing experience with at least 2 years of ecommerce experience.
  • Prefer experience working in a multi-channel Retail or Consumer Products industry where CRM driven cross-channel planning, execution, budgeting and analysis are essential
  • Experience in Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Problem solver who can detect business challenges and work in a complex environment

  • Technologically savvy and able to quickly learn new platforms and tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Familiarity with E-commerce tools and the interaction with inventory management tools
  • Windows Operating System 8 or higher
  • Wired DSL Internet connection with 5 MBPS
  • Back up for power outages and internet interruptions

  • 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST/DST | Monday to Friday
