MISSION

As the Director of Communications, you are accountable for the public perception of a company. Managing this perception involves developing marketing and communication strategies, understanding the importance of timing and setting, responding to crises and setbacks, and ensuring that information released is consistent with the strategy at large.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing a cohesive communications strategy
  • Crisis management and preemptive planning
  • Cultivating an environment of readiness and alertness
  • Maintaining an awareness of company risks and threats
  • Projecting a positive company image to the public
  • Ensuring quality control of all information released
  •          Establish and drive a multi-channel communications strategy
  •          Prepare and manage all communications material
  •          Develop a brand voice and maintain brand integrity across all platforms
  •          Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  •          At least 3 years of communications, marketing or public relations or related experience
  •          Experience managing digital content
  •          Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies
  •          Working knowledge of content management systems
  •          Familiarity with social media platforms and social media marketing
  •          Experience with search engine marketing, Google Analytics, and Google AdWords
  •          Impeccable copywriting and copy-editing abilities
  •          Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related discipline


SHIFT

  • Monday to Thursday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST/DST
  • Friday | 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM EST/DST
